Export the playlist
- In Set Lab, right-click the playlist.
- Press Export to rekordbox. Save the file.
In rekordbox
- Open Preferences, then Advanced, then Database.
- Next to Imported Library, press Browse. Pick the file you saved.
- Close Preferences. Click the rekordbox xml icon on the left. A list opens, and its first row says rekordbox xml. Press the small round icon at the right end of that row to refresh it.
- Open Playlists. Right-click your playlist. Press Import Playlist.
Your playlist is now at the bottom of your rekordbox playlists. Tracks you already have in rekordbox are matched, not copied twice.
First time only
If you cannot see the rekordbox xml icon, open Preferences, then View, then Layout, and tick rekordbox xml.
Next time
Save over the same file, then do steps 3 and 4 again.
Good to know
- Written for rekordbox 7. The menus may look different in rekordbox 6.
- Tracks whose files are not on your Mac come in without audio. Set Lab tells you how many after the export.
- Want only the playlist order for another app? Use Export playlist instead.
